From 75cl, just-acceptable cork. Expensive new oak dominates the scent, entry, mid-palate and finish; the rest is ripe, concentrated Dornfelder. A more noble grape might cope better with the oak, but then it wouldn't have riped as well... All in all a decent larger-scaled red, given its cool Eastern origin. Acceptable value for 17,50 EUR at cellar door. 86P
