Still tough and backward this was markedly fresh with rasping tannins. The plum fruit was laced with spices. It eventually softened up with exposure to air and eventually fleshed out. I believe this was still too immature and the lingering finish convinced me this is an age-worthy wine with plenty of promise ahead. CHP 91 pts

Medium ruby with a touch of garnet at the rim. Initially closed, but after an hour the wine opened into a perfumed rose and spice character, without the heavy tar expected. The palate is dry with medium acidity, high but integrating tannins, 14.5% alcohol and medium body. Pronounced flavours of red fruit leading into darker, savoury notes; structure firm but food-friendly. Long, savoury finish. Very Good Barolo — fragrant, balanced and poised . Drinking beautifully now but will evolve.

Dry fruit, no real Barolo cedar / leather / truffle notes. Dull acidity. Short finish. This is a wine to forget. P <80

See previous notes. Darker, more brooding this time around. Gained some weight. Black cherries, tar and floral. Would’ve preferred slightly more complexity.

Beautiful, feminine. Wonderful red fruit. Elegance in a glass.

Enjoyed from cellar without decanting with lasagna. It was a nice balance with the tomatoes.

Tasted at the Barolo and Barbaresco World Opening Tasting Event in NYC. Good structure, both tannin and acidity. Ripe fruit, Bold flavors and texture, chewy. Long and layered. One of the heavier wines today.

Powerful Barolo. Difficult to drink now. Deserves a long cellaring. Wait at least 10 years
