A bit of cherry cola. Nice, though not quite as good as the 2013.

Amazing! Better than Belle Glos Dairyman. On par with (maybe slightly better than) Eternally Silenced. Drank on the same night as Sea Smoke and it absolutely held it’s own.

This is not a Pinot for those who like a light-bodied style. Spouse guessed it was a Cab Franc. Big nose, full-bodied, and full of flavor, this was a treat after a half-hour in the decanter. For a Pinot, I found this to be a powerhouse, but not overbearing and certainly not harsh. Dark fruits but still a touch of strawberry/cherry and beautifully integrated. I think this one has several years left. Wish I had more.

As I found from enjoying earlier vintages of this offering, this wine seems to drink best at 4+ years. It’s a very masculine, “in your face” Pinot: big, brawny, and powerful. Shows mostly black raspberry, black cherry, chocolate covered strawberry, Dr. Pepper, black herbal tea, and charred, smokey earth. It really needs time in the decanter, even at four years, to maximize enjoyment. Works with a variety of heartier foods, tonight it was blackened Ahi Tuna. Seems to have enough …

No rating as our score would be in the mid 90s and should probably be discarded as we are as biased toward P&H as are some skating judges to their countrymen/women! That said, this is another terrific+ P&H Pinot. Great on PnP, always an advantage when spontaneously popping a cork. LA CAVE D'ARGENT's review is all you need to know. Drinking great today and will go another few years if you prefer your Pinot on the mature side.

This deep ruby wine delivers an intense package of smoky black cherries, cocoa, allspice and white pepper. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic and with nicely integrated alcohol (despite being listed as 14.6%), it is rich and layered on the mid-palate, accenting its fruit with fine-textured tannins and a judicious amount of creamy oak. Finishing with good length and equally good lift, this is a quality Pinot with plenty of structure to last for several more years. Drink now-2025.

Decanted for 30 minutes. Lots of dark cherry fruit with moderate acid and tannin. Extremely well balanced.
