Fruity - plums and berries - with a delicious peppery background. Well aged and drinking nicely.

Peppery with leather and black fruit. Enjoyable with rack of lamb.

color: medium purple; nose: oak, but sadly rather faint (even after decanting for an hour); taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, nice dark plum-cocoa taste, medium-length finish with lots of yummy black pepper but also a touch of greenness; overall: good-tasting wine that offers fruit without being a fruit bomb, good QPR ($13) and probably would be a decent pairing with beef stew -- yet I prefer Peter Lehmann shiraz for the same price
