Very pretty wine. Reticent on the nose with dusty, freshly picked strawberries with some potpourri spice. On a medium bodied frame with red and black strawberry and rainwater. Ethereal strawberries with fine boned acidity and fine, gently grippy tannin. Lingering finish of strawberry essence. Not a steak wine! Lightness would have had me guessing 2017 and not 2018.

A typical petits monts nose, airy and minerally red fruited followed by a disappointing mouthfeel, lean and without the flavor authority and finish this terroir usually commands. However the day after, it became less skinny with a darker and silkier profile.

Petits Monts diagonal : Hint of unintegrated oak on the nose. On the palate this was rather light and one-dimensional, felt a little underpowered. Still quite appealing and enjoyable mind, showed the giving nature of the vintage.
