Golden hue to the color. Red apple and pear fruits. The oak is overly dominant currently. The fruit seems to be fading faster than the wood. I would suggest drinking up. I don't see this getting better.

Apple, pear, fig, lemon zest and spice aromas and flavors. A very long finish with spice and butter notes. Well balanced. Served with tortellini and spinach soup.

Experienced this one about three months ago and reviewed on another site. Gave it a much higher rating than I'm giving it todaybon here. This was tasted alongside a 2016 Hudson little bit Chardonnay, which outdid this one by a significant amount. The nose of this wine showed a hint of flint, white flowers, mango and melon. This one was like buttered banana bread on the palate towards the front, and then sort of leaned out in the middle and …

Starting to get a bit more of the deep yellow, honey color to it. The nose took a few minutes after pouring to open up, but had tropical fruit and a hint of butterscotch. Excellent balance; rich texture, ripe fruit, and acidity to back it up. These TOR chards improve with age and am starting to wonder if I need to save them all for 5 years before drinking. I don't know the story of the Hudson vineyard but this …

Certainly a well made wine, but a bit oakier than I would have hoped, but then, again, this is what Hudson Vineyards tends to favor in vinification.

Nothing bad about this but I had great expectations for the vintage and the vineyard. Starting to show some signs of age, big and hot and full of flavor. Exotic, tropical, wood, nutty. But the hair spray component is a bit of a detractor...

Big bold, high alcohol Chardonnay, very ripe, definite RS, lemon curd, oak, tropical fruit, winter melon, honey. Must be your super rich and opulent style or you may be turned off. Awesome with food, can hold its own with just about anything.

One of the more toasty Tor Chard's I have had. There are immidiate flavors of apricot nut and pear. Well balanced and present acidity against a woody character. This wine reminds me of an aged French Montrachet. Definitely different than the Tor's I have had.

An improvement from last summer. Time in bottle appears to have smoothed out this wine significantly and allowed the yellow fruit to deepen nicely. Some subtle vanilla, lemon curd, olive oil, and stone fruit notes. Drinking fine on PnP. The finish rounded off a bit on the back end. Missing some verve and acid to better frame the fruit; lost a little interest as a result. Otherwise delivering fairly generously and with notable viscosity and unctuousness. 92 points. Drink now …

Pale straw yellow color and clear. Aromatic aromas of lime, lemon and cucumber. Some age. Off dry with a medium body. Crisp acidity and medium tannins. Fair balance with moderate flavors of lime, cream and apple. Medium finish. Decent.

PnP with tight lemon and steely, pebbly notes. After some air, a bit of an uptick with additional hints of grass and nuanced minerality. Still, somewhat of a metallic finish, with the minerality overshadowing the fruit. A bit underwhelming overall. I'll let my remaining bottle sit for another year, though I doubt that will ultimately help, as the fruit seems to be lacking significantly given the pedigree of the site, vintage, and winemaker. Tasted like a sub-$20 Chardonnay. 90 points …

Well I did not wait 2 years and this win has improved in the last 4 months. A rich and buttery wine. Thick viscous mouth feel with flavors of apricot lemon zest and vanilla. Lingering flavors and a really long finish

The least modern style Chardonnay I have seen from this maker. This wine is not like any of the recent vintages of Tor Hudson Vineyards wines. In the first hour where I was expecting an over-ripened fruit bomb I found less butter and more tartness (almost lemon zest). After an hour the wine began to lose its acidity revealing a more juicy mouthwatering fruity flavor. I would love to age this bottle a little because in retrospect, it was too …

Bouquet and flavors of melon, apple, fig, tropical fruit and lemon. Bright and crisp on the palate, and leads to a long, dry finish. Good acidity and mineral character. A very well made wine. Paired with linguine and mushrooms.

Served slightly below cellar temperature. Nose of tropical fruit, white flowers, apple, spice and lemon zest. Apple, pear, lemon and steely minerality leads to a long finish with bright, crisp acidity. Paired with Fettucine Alfredo.
