Thibault Liger-Belair Bourgogne Blanc Les Charmes

First time with Thibault whites. Underwhelming. Fruit is overly ripe even i detect possible botrytis in this. Medium finish but even while this wine was vinified in tanks it lacks acidity and freshness

A bouquet of flowers and yellow fruits. Sound, ripe fruited palate with marks of pear and peach, salt and spices. There’s good precision and balance as well. Good purity if fruit. At Grim with the family.

Macon vines. 14 months in tank, no oak. Quite subtle wine - some roundness despite no oak, subtle exotic fruit notes, brioche. Lacking some acidity for me. But overall a pleasant wine - although not the most memorable. I’ll still to his reds.

[was hoping to taste something like the Aligotè that I enjoyed a while back. but was disappointed, whites are meh, and reds with somewhat rustic tannins. ]
