A very delicate and light syrah which I have found can be the case from Bien Nacido vineyard - not jammy in style. It got better with air and time in the glass. Nice peppery notes on the finish.

The nose is mainly raisins and balsamic, with a touch of bacon fat. Medium-weight palate stands in a bit of contrast to the ripe fruit flavors of dried cherries and plums. This wine needs more acidity, and the experience is somewhat disjointed. This isn't a wine I wouldn't drink, but for the price of this bottle, I can have some of my favorite wines in the world.

Two hour decant. A peppery syrah that doesn’t quite match up to the typical stellar Paso syrahs. Decent, but not great value for $75. Needs more depth and complexity.
