Domaine du Château de la Violette Crémant de Savoie

A nice rose with some seriousness going on. Adequate acid, good mineral, a bit of herbal astringency. Has held well for a couple years post-release. cherry, floral, strawberry. Complexity not high, and finish not long. But appealing, and kudos for lasting.

I find this more compelling than many other reviewers. Strawberry and cherry of gamay, along with a real herbal astringency. Good acid, mineral. Works with food. Would fly as an aperitif. Speaks to mountain origins.

Very pale slightly peach colour rather than pink. It's a quaffable Rosé, probably better drunk sitting out in the sun on a summers day. Light copper color, slightly dull. Canteloup, orange, and peach in the reticent bouquet. Mid weight with some minerality adding to the full mouthfeel, but it's like the fruit never really shows up to the party and I'm left hanging. Pleasant enough and certainly inoffensive, but high on the "meh" scale. Maybe there are better Gamay rose's out there, but I don't think I'll be hunting them down. 4+9+14+6= 83
