Last bottle of a case of 12. Ruby red with a hint of purple still left in it. Red and black fruits and a little eucalyptus on the nose. Dark red fruits and some minerality. Still has a surprisingly strong finish and acidity. Enjoyable but not as good as a few years ago

Deep purple to a violet edge, the aromas are fresh lavender and dried red flowers (touch violet too) with lifted fruits of blueberry, black raspberry and boysenberry. Garrigue notes appear joined by minerals, cool river stones, Pepper and stem along with sour cream and smoke. The entry is vibrant with a granitic feel, crisp acidity and a cool refreshing approach. Deep ruby wine with purple edges; Perfumed and complex, with notes of tilled soils, pepper, cherry stem, black cherry flesh, olives in brine, mineral-saline, and smoke. This segues into mulberry, boysenberry, blueberry, and garrigue elements. A lovely, soft, sappy entry with lively acidity, a core of sweet, fleshy fruit and compote is framed by firm, sinewy tannins. Still a young wine, but everything is integrated and round here, full bodied, dark fruit, but not over done in the warm year. There is a lot of Syrah here, but it is well mannered ... will keep.

This is really starting to drink well much more developed than the last bottle, it's lost that typical young Syrah nose and taste and is much more rounded and interesting it still has strong red fruits, a little darker than before and good peppery edge

Needs a good bit of air if you open it now. Deep, opaque purple. A very interesting nose that hints at what this wine may become, but the tannins overwhelm the blackberry fruit and whatever subtlety the nose promises. The new oak influence is a little higher than would be optimal.

Ten St.Joseph and a couple of Cornas - blind tasting : (Tasted blind) Much darker than Jaboulet St.Joseph Le Grand Pompée 2010 tasted before it. A riper, more extracted style. Quite silky, dry, fruits hiding behind a veil of tannins. Not ready yet, good development potential. Now - (B/B-)

Probably a bit young but still a lovely drinking experience, lovely nose of dark bramble fruit, some smoked meat, crushed rock and subtle cedar, palate is elegant with fruit filled complexity throughout the drying tannins on the finish should integrate nicely with a few more years on it's side
