Superb, though in some respects too young, this has a wonderful vibrancy now, that may not be surpassed as it ages. It is certainly very enjoyable now. Massive extraction of smoky blackberries and violets, lots of wonderful oak char. Warm (15.9%) and sweet and plenty of structure, full bodied. Friday Night Brown Bagger (EBCC) : Decanted six hours. Black raspberry, dark fruit, spice amd vegetal notes on the nose and palate. Full-bodied. Good fruit- not overdone. Excellent.

Beautiful wine. Silky, smooth mouthfeel. Classic Grenache flavors—Cherry, strawberry, raspberry, with tobacco, chocolate, earth. Needs 1+ hour decant IMO.

This clear wine was garnet red with some brown added in not overly deep colour. The nose was quite full of blueberries and some chocolate. In the glass were these blueberries mixed with other dar berries and dark chocolate. There was a noticeable amount of smokey bacon at the end of each sip. The tannins and especially the acidity were quite strong.

Decanted six hours before the first glass, followed over another six or so. Fragrant of strawberry compote, winter spices and pine. Wet concrete. Leads with similar strawberry notes, slightly sweet. Milk chocolate and white pepper, it becomes earthier with air and heavier with mineral notes, and darker fruits emerge the longer it’s open - the second night was something special. This was opened for 6 hours prior to decanting. The wine was deep red in colour with a slightly funky nose of wood as well as dark berries. In the glass was a clear wine with flavours of those same dark berries, caramel and some black cherries. There was a slight sour note at the end. The tannins and acidity were both at a mid level.

Same note as before. A serious wine that needs a few years. Ripe fruit but also plenty of earthy qualities. Stylistically it obviously reminds you of more recent years of Sine Qua Non but does have a unique personality of its own. These are an easy buy at the current release price.

Decanted for two hours and consumed over five. Red fruit medley, red licorice, tea, plum sauce, hoisin, river rock and chalk. Still primary, but the fruit is indispensable. A Grenache that could cause one to be pithy, and poetic, thus she flows; shows grainy but fine tannins. Full-bodied, and tasty. Perform a serious decant or wait a few years. Bravo/brava. All three vintages have been absolutely epic. Drink 2025 - 2037.

it's a very good wine that i would recommend not opening for 2+ years. the phrase 'qpr killer' will never apply to this wine. honestly not a lot to say. it's a very good grenache but i think you can get the same quality for 1/2 the price, at least at this point in time.

Deep purplish ruby red. Layered nose with cured meats, olive tapenade, black cherries, plums, black pepper, perfumed and hint of mocha. Medium plus tannins (7/10) with a full body. Ripe black fruits on the palate with perfumed herbs, touch of minerality as well as a silky texture. Looking finish. Drink till 2035.

Curiosity won out over patience, and I had to give this a go. Agree with the prior note that this is more savory and good funk than fruit forward at this stage. Excellent wine with definite upside to holding, I think.

Again like the 2017 more savory, barnyard and rustic than I was expecting (even after an overnight). Some sweet red fruit does shine through but the whole cluster savoriness is in the foreground. Stylistically more Dragonette than Sine Qua Non. Still enjoyable with nice length but at this young stage I suspect my preference will be towards the Syrah. Also please stop with this bottle shape. It’s really challenging to store hence why I am drinking them early.
