This review is 1 year later than my previous bottle/review. Overall, it seems to have lost a bit of complexity and intensity. My previous notes of flavors still hold but are less intense, finish seems much shorter and therefore the overall rating is lower. Previous notes: Nose of blueberries and cherries. Flavor moves to plums, dark cherries with hint of blueberries, tannins are smooth and no hint of jamminess.

Basically a fairly well made wine but something about the taste was off for me. Too much chocolate on the palette for me. My wife, who has the better palette, said it improved with airtime. I would recommend a decant but this is not a buy for me.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like oak, vanilla and tobacco. It tastes like black currant (cassis). The body is medium/full. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. It is still young, I've drunken this wine every now and then... it has lot potential, and it gets better an better as it gets ager
