Livon Collio Cabernet Franc

Medium ruby core - a little fade at the rim; nice nose of ripe blackberry and blackcurrant with an underlying whiff of stems/leaf; supple on the palate, pretty classic varietal character here. Cool and fresh. Fine tannins. Good mid-palate density. As the previous note states - a restrained ripeness. Nice style - this wouldnt fatigue the palate. Rich on the finish - a great little red from Collio.

Blind Cabernet Franc Tasting : Blueberry, really quite herbal and stemmy, some tobacco and violets as well. The palate is a nice mix of savoury and sweet fruit, with a nicely restrained ripeness about it. Medium length.
