Deep intense black to ruby edges. Plenty of ripe black fruit aromas on the nose with plum, blackcurrant and some cassis. The palate has a sweeter caramel-tinged entry with ripe fruit, richness, full-bodied powder-soft tannins and a relatively long finish. It's quite an old-school style with up-front power/weight and width and power to the mid-palate, significantly enhanced given it is 2016, but the wine exhibits good concentration and is drinking nicely.
