NOSE: Upon Opening - Subtle smokey dark cherry After adequate decanting - Black cherry notes move to the foreground PALATE: Initially, tannins predominate; cherry fruit in background. Fruit surfaces after decanting. OTHER COMMENTS: Decanting definitely required.

In a blind tasting, one might mistake this for a village burgundy from a good year. Firm acidity and ample fruit made this a very nice drinker.
