An estate we visited in 2013. This wine was disgorged in March 2024. 9g/l dosage. A blend of 25% Chardonnay and 75% Pinot Noir and 100% Grand Cru. The wine does not undergo Malolactic fermentation. Light yellow color. Creamy texture with a solid bead. Slightly sweet with peach and toast notes. 90 points.

Notes of red fruits like cherry, yellow apple, brioche, minerality and toastyness. All in all a quintessential Pinot dominant champagne

Nice to see this back in the market. The label is new but on the surface it appears the method is as it was. 09/06/23 disg. 75/25 Pinot/Chard. 8.5 g/L. That classic salmon washed gold is still the look. Over all the wine seems more reserved and lighter than I remember it being though. That could be a vintage thing. According to Skurnik the latest is 50/50 2021/blend of 19&20. Even with the lighter body the dosage doesn't stick out. …

Bookclub (Foretti's) : Blind: I thought this flight might all be the same producer. Correct. Guessed Courtin. Wrong This is a great bottle. Very complex and entertaining. It looks like there's a very faint pink hue. Soft inviting nose. Palate, oh, tangy, that's fun. Citrus, apple and pear. Cinnamon slice at the finish. Great stuff and under $50 No brainer. It's supposedly 8.5 g/l. Okay... Does not show it.

Bookclub (served blind)--Sean : Of the three Billiot that Sean curated for this blind flight, the table was pretty much in agreement that this was the most interesting, making for a 'stop and think'. 8.5 grams of dosage, March 2023 disgorgement. Mostly Pinot with some Chard, according to the Billiot website. I got lots of stone fruit in the wine, kinda like a stone fruit pie filling--mainly peach and nectarine. Plus, some cinnamon, and again some pie crust. The nuances …

Sep 2019 Disgorgement, a fine bottle which is at a good place for current consumption. The style of the wines from this house has gotten more precise over the years which is also reflected in this base NV. More cut and structure and a little dryer and while this bottle had the advantage of a few extra years of cellar time I would recommend that this is one to drink before it gets too advanced. That said there is no …

This is the latest version of this wine. There is no degorgement information. Clear medium light yellow with huge mousse. Very approachable nose, green apple, lemon, yeast and pastry. Delicious and dry flavours and finish.

My last bottle of the June 2011 disgorgement. It was "misplaced" for a bit, so that I thought it was gone. Glad it was still there! It's certainly mature, and for some no doubt overly mature, but I love the nutty caramelly character, and it's still vibrant. Salty finish, and lingering nut/apple skin notes. Delicious.

Mycket bra i sammanhanget.

Good concentration of young fruit showing the appley characteristics across the fruit along with some softer pear qualities. Could have used more length. Terrific for the vintage and the price. Many years to go before it will be at it's best.

Medium golden with semi-fine bubbles. Very interesting nose of fresh baked onion loaf and green apples. Comes off yeasty, but not the multigrain bread style of Bollinger. Great mouthfeel, with bread, apples and a very long finish. Good quality vintage Champagne for a reasnoable price.

Frazier's with some other wines, principally with squash soup. Too dark to discern color. Somewhat sweet fruit on the nose. Lively mousse. Pleasant fruit oriented mouthfeel with marzipan, slight toastiness and some biscuity flavors. More fruit than acid. Feels a little slick. Flavors came off a tad one dimensional and had a sweet finish even though I understand this is low dosage? Probably drunk too soon.

Nice brioche and green apple flavors in a creamy style (agree with R. Faulkner on this). Drinking very well now but could probably short-term age. If I owned these the odds of them aging would be slim because they wouldn't last long.

Tasted 2005-11-18 (AIS) in a flight of 7 Champagnes Golden yellow (I feared oxidation). On nose, no oxidative notes, a light touch of sweet oak, a little coconut, yeast autolysis, orange marmalade; intense and persistent on nose and palate. Nice structure, rich mouth feel. Fully mature and is unlikely to improve with age. Fermented in oak, 2/3 Pinot Noir, 1/3 Chardonnay. Very nice wine, my second favourite in the flight.

Champagne Offline - Revenge of the Fizz (Snows - London) : Very strong mousse, explodes softly on the tongue. Full creamy style, so smooth. Bright red fruit, superb balance, a nice chalky backdrop. Very forward, this was ready to go. Great value. Not sure about this for long term prospects but the next 2-3 years will be great (if we have any left by then)
