Bereche et Fils Champagne Grand Cru Cuvée Côte Avize Blanc de Blancs

Just a stunning champagne. Intensely aromatic. Bruised apples definitely dominate but there’s nuttiness, pastry, lime juice, pomelo, white raspberry, and an ever so slight caramel/butterscotch note. The bubbles are just incredibly creamy and soft. Lovely acidity. Very long finish. This is a deeply profound bottle of fiz. Oh and definitely found this to be the best on days two and three of being open. Delicious the first night but some air does this wonders!

This bottle gave another outstanding showing. This begins somewhat straightforward but time in the glass builds tension, detail and focus. Airing gives a sense of youthful urgency and lengthen out the finish. There is a wonderful chalk and mineral element on the palate. The bouquet is expressive and detailed. There is now rush to drink these. There are sufficient youthful components for the to benefit from additional bottle age.

La Fête du Champagne Gala (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY) : Small glass. Rich and fleshy with nearly chewy textures. Very good depth.

La Fête du Champagne Gala (Avec - Chicago IL) : Small glass. Rich and velvety with near unctuous textures, yet easily bright throughout. Very good+.

Rich and ample with bruised apples and sweet spices dominating the experience. Great depth, for the table, not aperitif.

While not quite ready, quite obviously wonderful and delicious. Full of red fruit, brioche, mixed nuts, and barley; admirably lengthy and perfectly balanced (though that’s a given with Bereche). 2028+

This champagne is fantastic! Very fine bubbles, pale yellow with slight a pink tinge. Light maraschino, red delicious, chalk, gooseberries, light brioche, marzipan. Crisp acidity, Harmonious. 95+

Lighter than other bottles, lots of acidity, fresh and jingling.
