Very dark and extracted with good concentration. The wine was quite polished with purple fruit, dark plum, spice, herbs and earth. It still needs more time to fully unfold.

So pretty! Concentrated and exceptionally balanced, this was such a fine example of 10’ red burg, with fantastic purity and precision. Continued to evolve quickly in the glass, each time I came back for another taste it was a little bit different.

Fragrant flowers, red fruit and forest floor on the nose. Palate a lot of depth, earthiness, spice and wonderfully integrated fruit.

Opened 90 minutes before serving. Powerful aromatics of meaty black cherry, dark plum skins, and dark red rose petals. Quite savory on the palate with the same cherry and berry, and some herbed/meaty stock too. The most striking thing is an incredible burst of minerality on the finish. Very White Burgundy-like. A long and vibrant finish and happy to have a few more in the cellar.

Leiden 2 days in Burgundy 2014; 11/20/2014-11/21/2014 : Spicy nose, chinese 5 herbs spice, black fruit, a bit reduced, taste very concentrated, red and dark fruit, round tannins, great mouthfeel. Medium-long finish. A wine of finesse and balance

Some reduction but you can get a decent handle on the wine. There are bright, juicy red fruits and good structure. It has some nice spicy elements and the texture is quite fine and lacy.
