Nice Blanc de Blancs and the prominent autolytic aromas (this was on lees for 9 years) nicely balanced with the acidity. Nice citrus and green apple.

For Angela's birthday. Wow! Color. Bright yellow, but with a touch of gold. Nose. Liquid bread. Marigolds, straw, hay, croutons, pretzels. Palate. Huge mouse, but delicate. Baked apples, straw, Liquid bread, Green melons. The finish lasts 20+ seconds

No malolactic fermentation; vinified at 50% in Burgundy barrel of 228L and in muids of 350L (no new barrels). Disgorged June 2014; dosage 8g/L. The nose is a little muted - slight white fruit and citric notes. The palate is much more full-on: toast, then citric bite, then a crisp fruity lead into a refreshing finish.
