only 9% but the alcohol stands out, this is not a wine that has preserved its balance as it has aged

Recent purchase from Table & Vine in Springfield, and this is cooked. Dark in color, flat and hollow on the palate, and no freshness/energy on the palate. Given the other wines I've had from von Othegraven, seems more an issue of T&V's storage than anything with the winemaking here.

Strange rotten meat/carnal note on the nose at first, but this quickly blew off. Complex, balanced, very kabinett in style. I like this, but it's not a particularly good value.
