The 2004 horizontal with MS (Pall Mall) : This was utterly fantastic. At peak for sure and drinking incredibly well. Bouquet showing such transparency and purity of white fruit - peaches and pears interchange with each other, together with meyer lemons and sudachi. Palate had focus and precision and was supported by some chalk and minerality. Superbly balanced with great complexity and energy, this is one of those magic moments that we age white burgs and everything goes to plan.

Absolutely delicious with yellow fruit, flowers, hazelnut and cream soda. Palate was vibrant and rich with plenty of acidity. It was dense with a long finish. This is as good as a fully mature Louis Carillon can get, and yes its excellent. Given the domaine has high premox risk, it was a real pleasure to try a perfect bottle tonight. 92-93

I was nervous opening this after 18 years after so many oxidized white burgundies - but it was pristine. Wow - soft lemon curd, creaminess, hazelnuts, etc. just so good and feel blessed by the white burgundy gods on this occasion. Still has a good degree of richness and is impressively middle age. Head turning with an intense aromatic profile of yellow fruit, mineral, fresh cut flowers and just a kiss of wood. The palate is very fresh and energetic. A mouthful of round fruit and crunchy acidity. Awesome.

Brief note of a wine served to me double blind by Rauno at Noble Rot. Developed, golden colour. Perfumes of caramel, grapefruit, smoke, nutmeg and other baking spices. Charming. In the mouth, a lovely, developed, integrated wine. Quite sparkling acidity had me in Puligny and the top climat of Perrières was not a surprise. Rocky minerality. Well balanced. Very, very nice. Complex flinty minerals with such a pleasant acid backbone. Nicely balanced and precise. Unmistakeably Puligny. This is pushing grand cru quality, in fact I've had several GC PM's that are not this good, and this is not even one of the 'best' years.

Intense yellow with sparkling highlights. Mature nose, no oxidization at all, still fresh citrus notes on top of more mature rubber and toast notes. More prominent wood than I remember. Lovely body with fresh almost saline finish. Great showing and in a very good spot. Will drink my last bottle out of 6 pretty soon.

Young looking. Fresh nose of yellow flowers, some secondary aromas, just slight oak reminding. Great lift on the nose. Good balance with some nice bitterness lending persistency to the fruit. Great combination of fullness and freshness, with the subtle oak peeking through. Lighter and more elegant than the typical Leflaive but perhaps not as complex.

"Eagle's Nest" Dinner (Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong) : Light straw gold colour. Nose is very nice lifted fresh lemons and lemon rind, some mineral flintiness. Palate is quite rich and concentrated lemon with a soft balancing acidity then a very soft lemony fruit-driven back end overlaid with very light acacia honey. Some rounded and ripe canteloupe melon emerged wth more time...very fruity and refreshing. Medium weight and enjoyably mellow. Moderate length. Nothing wrong here but not the best that …

Beautiful nose - bright and beams out of the glass - layered citrus flavors with hints of toffee, minerals and some wet stone - this is a wine that I can spend a lot of time just enjoying the nose. Medium weight on the palate, zippy acidity and a very long finish. Outstanding and drinking well.
