Open for about two hours, not decanted. 51 cabernet sauvignon, 39 merlot, 10 cab franc. Dark purple color, still a bit cloudy, decent body. Nose is toasty, with plenty of cherry and just a hint of green pepper. Palate dominated by tart cherry, balances well with pepper and tobacco, the franc really shines through now. Smooth texture, no tannin, really perfect. Long tart cherry finish. This was awesome for a $20 wine, nice job by the Basel folks. Drink them …

Holding up nicely! This is good BBQ enjoying juice..decent amount of finish. A few too many cherries on the midpalate..but the finish compensates.
