Château de Nages Costières-de-Nîmes Reserve

Unimpressive. Muted fruit with little backbone

Decent bottle. Would drink again if not for the 14.5% alc. Used to braise short ribs

This wine was disjointed on the first night. Strong alcohol on the finish, tannins not integrated, fake fruit flavors. Summary: Lack of balance. Night two was better, however, was drunk fairly cold, may have concealed the previous nights issues. Can't say I agree with Wine Spectator on this one.

The nose is chocolate covered cherry. A pleasant mix of fruit and minerality with cherry, blackberry and a lingering earthiness. Easy drinking style.

Assez net et long pour mériter d'être racheté, mais un peu trop rond et confituré à mon goût. Néanmoins bien. EDIT: je revise la cote à 85 suite à un autre essai.
