10 years old. Outside the drinking window but very happy with it. Great good wine still. Done fruit and done acid. Light. Had with pork tenderloin and was an excellent match. Fun to drink

Tasted after 90 minutes of air. Medium ruby color. Rose petals on the nose. Round sweet fruit. Some tannins here. Cherries? Interesting tension here. This punches way above its modest price tag. Excellent QPR.

Burgandian in style with bright fruit and high acidity. Juicy, but demands food. 13.5% ABV with natural yeasts, and 90% destemming & 25% whole berry. 11 months in mostly neutral oak.

A fine quality Willamette Valley Pinot Noir that features very good grip, substance, and balance. An overachiever to be sure. 89-90.

Quite decent lighter-bodied Willamette Pinot with good QPR.

Suave and classy, especially compared to the robust 2014 vintage. Solid character and poise; it needs a little time to come together. 89-90.

Tonic and a tiny bit amaro bitter on the finish, as quite a few Pinot Noir I like is. Dried cherry and prune, quite a handful of berries really, in an almost tonic ripasso tart fruitiness.

Pop and pour and tasted with food (pasta e fagioli, in case you were wondering). Ruby red color. Cloudy, indicating this was unfined and unfiltered. Nose is earth and forest floor. Wine shows brown spice and earth. Blackberries and black cherries mixed in along with the earthy notes. Good, albeit simple.

Tart red and purple berries, acerola, flowers, herbs, and an appealing amalgam of terroirs (sous-bois and umami) on the bouquet and palate. Bracing, with surprising tannin, firm and lively. Nothing "watered down" here, and true Pinot Noir, not that flabby, borderline Syrah-like stuff that many California wineries label as Pinot Noir! Balanced, gripping, and long. Medium light purple. Interesting nose with some floral hints. I like this on the palate, vibrant and refreshing with good acidity. Mostly strawberry on the palate but perhaps some herbal tea hints and (call me crazy) a little hint of a soft mcintosh apple. Medium bodied wine. I liked this.

I bought several bottles after reading a positive review so I was blindsided when poured a glass. The color is a pretty, transparent violet. It is a very light Pinot with a slight nose of mostly earth and some cherries. On the palate it is all astringency and little, if any fruit. 2015 vintage

I really enjoyed this style of Pinot. 13.5% ABV with scents of cherry, spices, mushroom, and forest floor. On day one the fruit seemed secondary to the earthy notes. On day two the fruit made a stronger showing. Nice acidity with a little grip on the finish. Excellent value.

Dark purple color. Cherry and blackberry. Jucy and lush wine, really great value. Medium finish.

2012 vintage

Similar to prior note, but this one had much more sediment. Much tighter with a tannic/acidic bite upon opening but mellowed into strawberry, cherry and bramble notes with ~30-60 minutes of air. The variation in tasting notes and people's comments on the sediment really highlights the bottle variability. Best to keep upright for at least 1 hour before drinking and decant if you see sediment at the bottom.

Nice garnet color. Nose nicely layered with baked cherries, hints of bakers chocolate, and a mild floral component. Drank over two nights, with and without food. Dark purple color (think Welches grape juice purple). Pungent, spicey nose emphasizing dark berry fruit (blackberries and dark cherries), and a little cinnamon in the background. The initial palate is tight (and a little tart), however as it opens in the mouth there's solid underlying fruit - mostly boysenberry (like boysenberry yogurt). One of the weirdest pours of all time, it was saturated with sediment after having been on its side for 6 hours. I don't mean a little bit, I mean the wine looked like it had not only never been filtered, but they bottled it with the lees or some other shit in full suspension. Old dark cherries, dried roses and potpourri on the nose. Smells nice. The palate shows straight-forward flavors of cherries and red berries with some stems. Acidity is in a good place and the tannins are very gentle, almost to the point of being non-existent. What's impressive is the intensity and length on the palate of the fruit, there is a presence on the palate of the flavors long after the wine is swallowed. Overall very delicious.

Very dark in the glass, but comparable with the handful of other 2012 OPN's I've tried. Smells good, with forward dark fruits, leaning towards fresh blackberry and black cherry with hints of cedar, smoke, and a touch of vanilla. Color is very thin, light yellow on the edge, cranberry inside. Nose is red fruit, raspberry and bing cherry, the Nose follows through on the palette. Red fruit again with more of the cherry and just bit of tartness. Finish is short but enjoyable. There is just enough acidity to hold this together making this wine more enjoyable than its simplicity would imply.

I'm not a huge fan of Pinot Noir's but I do enjoy this one quite a bit. This might sound weird but it is light and refreshing and makes me think of happiness.

Tasted first on the day it was released at the winery (11/1/12). Had the vibrant cherry fruit and peppery spice with the light body characteristic of the 2011 vintage. Out of the bottle (1/4/13) it was tight and tart; seemed to be a bit shut down. Would probably give this one a few more months to rest before enjoying.
