Biodynamic farming, aged approximately 12 months in barrique of first, second and third use, 13% vol. Opened the bottle, took a sip to check the condition, enjoyed it 4 hours later with lamb and gratin dauphinois. Red berries, fresh moss, medium to high acidity, tannins are there but very good integrated, good length, everything fits together. Very elegant Burgundy, perfect food wine with superb price to quality relation, drink now or within the next 8 to 10 years.

Mid-Week Pick Me Up (Young Joni, NE Mpls) : Medium plus red color. Drank a glass plus over an hour. Hi toned dry forest floor, very earthy, dark fruits on the nose. The palate shows ripe fruits, candied cherry and black cherry, earthy, tobacco leaf, medium full bodied, plush texture.

Opened 2nd bottle of 3 in cellar. This bottle worse than first 5 years later. Pretty good, a bit unbalanced, slight harsh notes, cinnamon coming out in the finish.

This is absolutely wonderful. It's in It's prime, or almost. I am not good at taste descriptors but I will say the nose is pure, and the tannins are silky.....and the wine is pure Burgundy pleasure. I wish they were all like this.

More than two years after the last bottle. Opened two hours before dinner but required some additional minutes in the big glasses to show its beauty. The first impression is a bit simple, but very clean and with a purity that is hard to find elsewhere, it shows mainly red berries and sour cherries, is incredibly fresh, has a good mouthfeel and a long finish, superb in its purity.

Directly after opening I always pour a small glass to check for faults and make an initial assessement. At this point this feels almost anemic but after decanting for about 1 hour it gains considerable wheight and intensity. Nose with dark cherries, mineral, just some hints of tar and animal notes. Medium+ bodied with dark cherries, quite present minerality, fine acidity, some tannins, and just the tiniest bit of bitterness. Both the palate and the aftertaste are firm, and this comes across as a bit closed at present for being a '15, although with the dark fruit flavours typical of this ripe vintage. My first '15 Burg and it's a beauty with just about everything you could want in a young Burg--especially one that was less than $40. Expressive Pinot nose introduces a a hyper-fresh, bright, crunchy, and juicy palate of impressively concentrated brambly fruit. A tinge of cranberry hints at a tip-top Cru Beajuolais. Medium-bodied with a velvet texture. This is all about the fruit now but there's every reason to expect a long and graceful life, with greater heights ahead.
