Cantine Settesoli Syrah

“Affordable Mixed-Case-Red-Tasting - Part I” (non-blind), in September 2013: Synthetic cork. The wine was bright medium ruby in colour and offered a limited, slightly reductive nose of plastic, smoke, dark berries and some old chocolate. On the palate the wine showed some red fruit flavours, paired with medium-level unripe and astringent tannin, medium-level very sharp acidity and an unpleasantly dry aftertaste. Completely disjointed. Avoid.
