Have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of their Sonoma Cabernet, and the chardonnay can be added to this list also. PNP. Very pale-yellow in the glass. Aromas were a little shy at first but opened after exposure to air, revealing notes of ripe peach, honeysuckle and orange. Fruit flavors dominated, with tangerine, apricot, peach and honeydew melon up front with hints of almond and cut grass mixed in the background. Mouthfeel was big, fruit forward and thick delivered on …

14.5% alcohol, medium weight foil, appears to be real cork; long legs, medium yellow; nose of citrus, whiff of mint and menthol; tasted at ca 12 degrees C; full bodied, fruit subdued but powerful in the middle and back of the tongue, sides of the tongue experience a slight citrus/sourness that complements the fruit on top; the label reports how stainless steel and wood were both used in preparation of the wine, a procedure resulting in in an exceptional tasting …

Nose of lemon/lime drops, pink grapefruit, grass, wet stone. Some buttery notes also apparent: Acidity is bracing despite any malo that might have occurred. Palate has some depth and weight to it, despite the deceptively light citrus, Granny Smith, and pear notes that predominate. Slightly tropical character (soursop? Jackfruit?). Short finish.

My favorite sauvignon blanc. Buttery, lightly acidic, notes of pear and apple, semi-dry.

I'm super into CA SB right now and this one did not disappoint. Nice floral/citrus nose, very smooth and balanced with mellow acidity. Tastes of lime and stone fruit. A good find in the sale basket at my local grocery store!

Smells like a farm. A little heft in the mid palate.

Mary Edwards-esque, at a lesser price I am being told.

We've gone through almost two cases of this, and every bottle has been very nice. No green or "cat pee" notes, just a nice combination of melon and light citrus.

Another excellent SB from Schug. Similar melon notes to the 2013, with a nice spritz of grapefruit.

Very light, lots of citrus, with a nice vanilla/oaky, chardonnay-like finish.

Have you ever purchased a bag of gummi grapefruit slices? That's what the nose was like in this wine, and that's a very good thing. Tight without being closed, this gave me a lot of vibrant citrus, lychee, and hint of peach with just the right amount of mineral to balance the fruit . A fantastic Sonoma Country Sauvignon Blanc.

GOOD Crisp Nectarine on the nose and on the palate. Some Asian Pear in the mid-palate with just a hint of mineral. Light and refreshing at a good QPR but bringing unique flavors for a Sauvingon Blanc. Little hot on the finish and a tad short. 13.5% tOH

Thursday Night 5 for $5 (The Grapevine - Pocatello, ID) : Pale greenish-yellow color, moderate nose of cat pee, tangerine and grapefruit. Light body with crisp and lively acid. Moderate flavors of grapefruit, touch of bitterness. Long finish. Tons of grapefruit.
