Possibly a less than ideally stored bottle, the color looked a bit more advanced for a 2010 with some browning on the edges. Was fine to drink but nothing noteworthy.

Lovely sweet strawberry fruit, dark bread crust and orange zests. Really fragrant on the nose and open from the first second. Elegantly gliding over the palate. Definitely mature and perfect to drink. Missing some more complexity and freshness to be really grand but a joy to drink. Drink this now. 17/20

Beautiful strawberry fragrance with dried tea leaves, gravel and potpourri. Elegant and balanced. Palate is dry and clean. Almost medium-bodied in structure. Polished texture. Transition to a lingering and floral finish is smooth. Ready to drink now.

Oh my oh my.. this just goes to show what the best makers can do with humble grapes in a great year. A nose that is the hypothetical blend of Rousseau and Dujac. Lots of lift, elegance, spices but not lacking the ripeness and sweetness of fruit. Strawberries, hawthorn and dried roses. I’d drinking them soon, no point holding any longer.

Burgundy Village theme night (Extra Space) : Tasted blind. Drank from bottle over 3 hours. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of sweet spices, perfumed florality, red cherries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, strawberries, sweet baking spices, scented sandalwood. Medium finish. Good quality village. Drinking well now, and could still develop a bit …

Lovely bright red. Very appealing and vibrant. Nose had ripe cherries, fresh blueberries and a hint of tar. Palate had good balance. Ripe fruits, some meaty notes, lovely minerals and great acidity and structure for a village. Finish was surprisingly long and rather intense. What a lovely village wine.

Saturated red. Espresso, meat, truffles and red cherries on the nose. Broad and sweet across the palate with dusty tannins and a very long finish for a village wine. There was a lovely dark, fleshy dimension to the wine- the "Gevrey game" in spades. I wanted to keep coming back to the wine after I had had my fill- just a few more drops! This wine really did seem to have extra layers of complexity that transcend its label (but …
