Surprisingly bright and fresh for a $8 bottle that's over 10 years. Opened, poured a glass and let it sit for a good 30 minutes before giving it a taste. Medium body with a finish that does seem to hang on a bit. Had with burgers on the grille. Last bottle though.

Tight when first opened, there isn't much here until this wine gets some air. I was leaning toward rating this in the mid-80s after my first glass. I vacuum corked and tried again on day two and this was much more complex with still plenty of tannins to balance the fruit. Aroma offered dark fruit of plum, blueberry and black currant with dark chocolate and licorice. Flavors included black cherry, pepper and sweet spice, vanilla, cola and pencil shavings. Was …

Not nearly as good as the '03. Smells like cheap red wine. Some casis, raspberry and blackberry dominate the nose with a hint of medicinal odor. On the palate is where it falls apart. Tastes tired, sour cherry's dominiate the flavor profile. Not good.

COLOR - not outrageously dark, but a good medium-dark ruby color; cork not stained heavily (still young). NOSE - oak predominates, but good fruits come through. TASTE - a great fruit explosion on the top notes, good oak in the middle, plus darker berries; finish is a little hollow, but not unpleasant - just a little underwhelming. Good news is that I think this can go several more years to develop more complexity. RATING - 90.

Decanted over 2 hours. This wine needs to open some before drinking although its bouquet was prominent upon opening. Color is great and very dark . Cannot see fingers through glass at all, which is impressive to me. Very ripe black cherry, and asian plum on the nose. Definite fruit up front with mild to medium tannins on mid-palate. Finish is medium to long. A very nice example of a Washington State Cabernet in my opinion. I would buy this …

Red plum in color, but was a bit tight right out of the bottle. Temp was 59 when I pulled it, which may be a too cool to show its character. Opened some as it warmed, but I would probably decant this 30 minutes or so before serving. Medium body and structure. Finished short.

Toasted, Jam Jam, ripe. Hot. there is a small tinny body to hold all this ripeness. Look very bad, because i had it next to a fine merlot from Long Island, NY "The grapes of Roth" a text book in terms of balance. This "over the top" wine are even worse with food, it is like adding tons of ketchup to a fine steak.
