Drinking beautifully!! Much more feminine and subtle than expected and all flavors matched up perfectly with a NY Strip. Might want to consume now.

Needs to breathe for at least 1.5-2 hours. Drank half the bottle after only one hour and it needed more breathing time. The next day was even better with flavors of black currant, black cherry & pepper.

Clear, ruby color with no signs of age yet. Bright, cherry, strawberry and raspberry on the palate with some mint and sweet tea. Medium body and finish. I have now had the ‘07 and ‘08 Josephine. Both have evidenced the same “sweetness” which for me is a bit off putting. I am sure there is nothing wrong with the wine. My preference just runs toward the bolder, deeper, classic profile of the single vineyard Sycamore and Bosche from Freemark Abbey.

Not decanted, with some sediment in the bottle. Nicely balanced and drinking very well currently. Great balance between fruit, acidity and tannin that shows the pedigree of this wine.

Wow, what a spectacular offering. This is Freemarks Bordeaux style offering and exceeds its billing. Deep, opaque garnet in color. Earthy herbal nose with a hint of cherry. Medium bodied with sour cherry, cedar, tobacco box and a hint of mint on the palate. Medium, earthy finish. This really tastes like a Bordeaux. Had a different "Bordeaux blend" from another winery in Stags Leap last night that was much more like a Cabernet fruit bomb. The Josephine was special.

Deep dark center, red rim with very modest signs of age. Sweet, coffee, blackberries and blackcurrants, road tar. Smooth, dense, cassis and dark black plums, mature notes, well integrated oak and creamy vanilla, very long fruit finish. Excellent Napa red, sweet and ready to drink.

Still very fruit forward. Menthol and minty finish. Some leather starting to creep in.

First of the Josephines I have drunk. Nice nose, minty and herbal. Black fruit, not overpowering, great finish with some green pepper and leather. Very nice with the steak.

Great ruby color, with great fruit and maybe dark chocolate on the nose. Decanted for 2 hours before we started enjoying this... rich and full wine that is great in the mouth. Long finish... will be great to cellar and enjoy in a few years. I think beyond 2015

Tasted 2004-2007 vertical at Josephine winemaker dinner. Beautiful right now. Dark bricking beginning. Brownish red color. One word for this - smoooooth. Super dark fruit and earthy tannins along with cocoa dust are well rounded and create a solid wine experience here.
