Zorzal, Gran Terroir Pinot Noir, Tupungato

Nice nose of raspberry and bramble with a medium mouthfeel filled with light red fruit and decent acidity, this is a wine that does well with food, good QPR.

Decanted and poured and served blind in a line up 9 global pinot noir costing 2 to 6x the price, this well made pinot was the least preferred but was none the less a good showing and a clear value for pinot lovers. Decanted and served immediately after, it is still quite young and will improve

Bought a bottle because of RP rating of 93 - but skeptical. Nice nose of bright red fruits with a hint of bramble or oak (?). Medium-bodied with a lot of rich, ripe fruit - strawberry/cherry at first and then cranberry and spice after some airtime, along with sour notes, a plush texture, and medium finish. It drinks well above its price point, but is too simple to be rated 93.
