Green apples, white peach, some spicy vanilla. Some nuts and fennel. Doesn’t have the complexity right now but it could develop with time.

Prince Christmas staff picks (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : Chicken and herbs, slightly butter and toast, lemon, tight, a little sharp, juicy fruit a little muted on the palate.

Medium straw colour. Stone fruit and oily oak on the nose. Mineral character dominates with a big acid finish - is this really Chardonnay? All flavour upfront and falls away quickly on the palate. Well below expectations. Maybe a bit of age will add some character and complexity but I will see in due course as I have a few bottles in reserve.
