A straightforward, well-made Sangiovese with clear red fruit notes — cherry, raspberry, a touch of spice and dried herbs. The palate is medium-bodied, with firm but balanced tannins and lively acidity. There’s a certain elegance to the structure, at times almost reminiscent of Pinot. Still fresh, with only minimal signs of development. A solid, honest wine that should stay in good shape for another three years.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two hours. The 2011 “Toscana” IGT pours a deep garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of mostly ripe, red fruit: Morello cherry, raspberry, new leather, black tea, freshly varnished fine wood, dried green herbs and dry gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes …

Opened, decanted and enjoyed on its own and then with food (reverse sear pork chop and lima beans Roman style (replacing Fava beans) in case you were wondering). Nice vibrant ruby color. Nose offers cedar and cigar box along with dried tomatoes. Dusty dried cherries as well. Bright sour cherry intro, with a touch of soy and mushrooms on the mid-palate, followed with dried cherry skin on the finish. Little bit of heat on the back end. Enjoyable. Italian label …

Well integrated tannins and nice acidity, but missing the fruit. Not sure if it is getting better

Ok, nothing exciting to me, pleasant but a little ‘dark’ in character for me

крутейший Санджовезе пойманный к тому же в отличной, зрелой и уже полностью готовой форме. Очень большое удовольствие доставил!

This is still young, in my opinion. Needs more integration. Lots of potential, though, just wish i'd had more patience.

nose- cherry, very pure mouth - sappy fresh cherry, high toned fresh fruits, good acidity which provides lift and vibrancy. charming more than sophisticated, undeniably delicious

Popped and poured. I've been wanting to try one of these for a while and my patience finally broke. I had too many distractions while hosting to really get into taking more formal notes but I recall this bottle being more than open for business. Really expressive fruit with impeccable balance; an absolute delight to drink at the moment. Bottle lasted less than 15 minutes as there just wasn't enough to go around for very long. I definitely need to …

PnP. Lovely medium deep red. Has good richness on the nose and palate and excellent balancing acidity. Worked well with a mushroom fettucine. Will develop more but drinking pretty well at age 6.

Opened a bottle and poured after 30 minutes without decanting. Rich color and medium body with a nose of cherries, currant, and herbs. High acidity, as expected from a sangiovese, with little tartness. Good wine on its own, but kind of fell apart when paired with pasta with marinara sauce. Not strong enough to be paired with tomato-based sauces.

Pop and poured into a decanter. Swirled the wine and served about 5 minutes later. Served with food (spaghetti in a marinara sauce, with sauteed kale and roast potatoes, and roasted chicken with tomatoes and zucchini). Wonderful nose of black cherries, some red clay and mushrooms. Rich velvety texture, with deep dark fruits and a savory mushroom note. This is a wonderful wine. It has richness and depth to the flavors but with good acidity that keeps it lively and …

Medium to full bodied. Elegant, round and smooth, burgundy-style like sangiovese. Pnp possible, but even better with half a day of air.

Pop and pour and served with food. Followed over 4 hours both with food and on its own. Dark color. Nose shows some tomatoes, licorice root and black cherry. Rich and tannic, the wine coats your mouth. Good black fruits, some dried herbs and dried tomatoes. While tannic, it is still enjoyable.

Recommended to me by a super knowledgeable guy in a wine store in Radda in Chianti. Pretty deep ruby/garnet color. Perfumed notes of sweet red cherries, also some darker red fruit, rosemary and sage, crushed flowers, sour cherries, also some sweet spices and later some menthol too. It's medium-full-bodied, with high acidity providing a lot of freshness and medium-high tannin that is silky and ripe. Long finish with a lot of freshness, especially considering the warmer vintage. A really fascinating …
