Drinking really beautifully. Perfume of sweet ripe cherries along with a touch of spice. Just wave over wave of the most succulent ripe cherries. Grand Cru weight and complexity. Kept gaining more depth and scale with every glass. One of those bottles you just don't want to end.

PNP. Refined, elegant Griotte smack dab in its drinking window. Dark red cherry, enticing aromatics, voluptuous palate. Stellar, stunning Gevrey. Wish I had more. This wine would turn many to the dark side…

Chevalier Induction Dinner - Lovely. In a great spot. Soft, round, elegant, pure. Still primary but with secondary notes integrating nicely. This outshone some flashier bottles at the dinner. Good QPR too.

Monday Night Football and Grand Cru (Chicago, IL) : A great bottle; this doesn't seem to have the beetroot aroma I associate with the vintage on the nose here. It's just a clean mix of red and black fruits, as well as an earthy tone that is actually pretty addictive. The palate is rounded and sweet, but there are plenty of structural elements underneath it (something that evokes earthiness, but in a clean way, whatever that means).

An impressive 2006 with intense, pure, nuanced fruit and no signs of ripeness or heaviness. Lovely meat and spice layering. In the middle of it's drinking window.

Perfumed, elegant, evolved.

Another slightly awkward 2006 red Burg. Hint of lactic notes and the burly structure threw things out of balance. Could certainly use more age to see if things come around.
