Bit disappointed. Very primary cherry fruit, good acidity but no secondary flavors. Doesn’t appear to have import with bottle age. Bit pricey as well.

PNP in Zydeco in Bend. Our server got to his taste of this before us (we had time to give a bit of air-- he did not). "You're not going to believe this!!" Last tasted as a baby: 4/8/2017 rated 92 points: PHMG WAG: 2014 Oregon Pinot Noir (Lyon Den): Fascinating how many of these wines had no reviews on CT or by the WS/WA. This did have a WS92. We agreed. This bottle housed a big wine with black …

26th Annual Lyon 10 Year Retrospective (Lyon's Den) : Lighter then the BF served right before it, but still deep and long with dark cherry, blackberry, plum and spices. 93+ on day one, 94 on day 2! Now-2026.

Decanted off moderate sediment. Very similar to the 12/23 bottle: "Black cherry liqueur, plum, cola and minerals. Now-2027. (409 views). " Again a great bottle, with little more earth tonight, same window.

A wonderful OR PN example at 10 years, one of my best experiences in many years. Completely integrated cherry and dark berry, leckar!

Wine-a-palooza (Jason's house) : A big, somewhat extracted and very earth pinot. The palate seems a bit tired. Probably past its prime.

Cracking the whip; 10/16/2023-10/23/2023 (Eagan, MN) : N: Dark red plums and dulled red cherries with freshness provided by blueberries. Good purity of fruit on the aromas, not much else though, and maybe a touch of forest floor. P: Dark, red and purple plums, without any tartness and bitterness from skins and pits. Again with the purity of fruit on the palate here, but that seems to be it. A little bit of steeped tea and slightly bitter minerals on …

Followed over 8 hours open with no change in character. Almost fully opaque ruby color to the rim with clear, very slow legs and no sediment. Lightly powered nose of cherry-strawberry with even lighter floral notes, oak seems well-integrated. Big bodied palate with no lack of acidity, but the fruit is somewhat simple and shallow. It never really takes me anywhere that a generic $12 grocery store PN wouldn't. Finish is medium, which is kind of a metaphor for how …

This was very disappointing. The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like mineral. It tastes like espresso. The body is light. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity. Definitely not worth the price.

I let this breathe 10 min in the glass to clear ether nose. It warmed up beautifully over an hour of drinking. Medium purplish ruby color. Raspberry, granite, steel and coconut evolved into blackberry, semi-sweet red licorice and potting soil on the nose. Greasy raspberry purée on the super smooth palate with terrific acidity and tongue-drying tannins. Soft, but firm tannins on medium finish. This is one of the best Pinots I’ve had in a long time.

In it’s prime, drink now. Nothing that additional age can do. Flavors are great, no tannins present and finishes ok, but not a lot of complexity.

Notes of vanilla bean, mineral, plum & fig fruit, lavender. Lush and full textured on the palate, sharpened with high-toned dark fruit. Good depth and acid, silky tannins, full finish. Well-balanced and elegant, not as big and rich as I expected. Excellent.

Beautiful Pinot. Nose took about 15 min to open up, but everything was awesome after that. Strawberry and concrete on the rich nose. Silky palate (beyond smooth). Firm tannins on medium finish. Everything was further improved with the duck this was paired with. Never tested such a perfect combination.

This is tasting really great right now. There is plum and dark cherry in the nose. It was decanted over an hour and while it tasted really good on first taste it continued to improve through and after dinner. It has the 2008 taste profile (not sure why that is not written about but many Oregon 2008 wines have this unique flavor). But it has mellowed and softened so now it is a layer in this wine, along with dark …

Decanted 1 hour, and consumed over 5 hours. Showed at its best between hour 1 – 4. Nice blend of new world dark fruit & cinnamon and old world mustiness. Quintasential Red Hills style and terroir. Peaking now, but no hurry; will likely stay in this peak window through 2016.

Popped and poured one night, then finished the next night with chicken parmesan. Aroma of plum, and that comes through in the taste as well. Very fruit forward, with a bit of earthiness in it. A bit of acidity, as well as some drying tannins on the finish. This probably is going to enter its optimal window in a year or two, but this was my only bottle.
