Truly exceptional every time. Interplay of exotic fruit (passion fruit/maracuja) with toasted brioche. A bit of smooth acidity that turns into a long finish leaving you with vanilla brioche.

Medium+ intensity, honey, yellow apple, bread, dough, croissant, caramel, wet stone, nutty. Medium acidity, long finish. 91-92 This bottle did not show the freshly ground meal I had with the last bottle. I’ll let my last bottle age for a bit 50% 2008 vintage, 50% 2009 vintage. 8 years sur lie. Average age of the vines 80 years, oldest from 1926 (hence the name V(ieille) V(ignes)26. 90% Cramant, 10% Oger. 7 months on oak

Deep golden color. Almond brioche ripe pineapple and hints of pink grapefruit. The wine from over 60 years old wines was for 12 months in barrique before second fermentation. Full bodied with very fine bubbles and very long finish.

Really blew me away with fascinating and unusual herbal woodsy notes like spiraling through a typical lively but powerful blanc de blancs.

Very different style of champagne to what I normally drink. I didnt get any of the brioche notes that some tasters claim. Quality is apparent on the taste, there's a lot of complexity and a lot going on here, but its on the sweeter side. Wife put it well - goes extremely well with food - but it's not going to become my daily drinker (cost aside). For the price, fun to have tried, not sure when I'll give it …

Fine Wine Service Sweden tasting the portfolio (@six hotel) : The mousse is a lot more energy than the solaire but this has more in common with Solaire as opposed to the 1er cru wines. Equally big and broad shouldered but more stringent, a bit tight even. could be cellared several more years I presume. Highly recommended.
