Domaine des Comtes Lafon Monthélie 1er Cru Les Duresses

Constant. De haut niveau.

Depuis que je le connais (pas si longtemps), c’est à mon avis le meilleur millésime de ce vin. Très généreux, avec une impressionnante plénitude en bouche qui tapisse toutes les papilles. Beaucoup d’arômes de fruits, avec peu de notes d’élevage, une super belle profondeur. Coup de coeur!

PNP. Cerises et cassis, une belle minéralité, une très belle profondeur. Franchement excellent!

Småpen vin 89-90p

From vineyards planted between mid 70's and mid-90's and farmed biodynamically. Fermented in stainless steel. Aged for approximately 1½ years in 228-liter burgundy pièces (approx. 1/3 new). Tasted fully blind in a "Burgundy or not Burgundy?" tasting. Luminous, fully translucent and beautifully ruby-red color with a slightly evolved pomegranate hue. Slightly restrained but attractively fine-tuned nose with aromas of ripe cranberries and red cherries, some understated smoky tones which can be either reduction or toasty oak, light savory wood tones, …

Beautiful bouquet of ripe cherry, dried rose pedal, fresh earth, vanilla, damp slate. Beautiful ruby color, with a complex palate. Tart fruit, soft tannins and searing acidity. So much acid here, this wine has legs. Excited to check in again in a few more years and see where it’s at.

PNP. cork intact. color is ruby. nose has earthy cherry bright red fruits. swishing this shows serious acid and some tannin structure. on the palate this is super polished. this is a wine of delicacy for sure. i think that it will age well but will always be a delicate flower

NR as this may simply be too young to rate, but on the other hand I have had some CRAZY good 2015's and this wasn't, opened a little thin and closed, then on night three this has some brightish red fruit but not a ton of depth (like many '15's)... not a rebuy for me to be frank, tho this wine might end up in 15-20 years being awesome I'm going to be buying the stellar ones that are replete …
