Fabulously complex with a coherent blend of earth, tobacco, mocha and blackberry. Amazing what the once lowly tempranillo grape can produce.

The Bro-in-law, was looking for a "spicy and fruity wine, with just a touch of bite." My original thought was an Aussie Shiraz, but when I went to the wine shop I saw the SPAIN sign and thought, perfect! I don't know much about Spain, but I did know that the Ribera del Duero is a pretty safe place to go, so I found this one with some pretty detailed notes on the price tag, and it sounded right up …

Tannic full-bodied, nicedly balanced, chewy, with pleasant nose. Will easily hold up another 1-2 years.
