Long European Holiday; 6/18/2025-7/5/2025 : but of air before diving in. Tannins are strong but not overbearing. Loads of cherry, spicy finish, loads of character and depth. Went really well with the food at Bæst.

Diam. Absolutely gorgeous nose of a kaleidoscope of scents. The most open but also tightly coiled of the 3. With time in glass, turned into a wonderfully perfumed expressive palate. Really structured - tannins are soft but firm. Lots and lots of ambergris perfume in the scent and especially inner mouth perfume. Lots of red rose with time. 96 Plus 1 day. Looking great. Plus 1 week. Very expressive. Concentrated ambergris and red rose petal. So perfumed. 96+.

SLDS April 2022 : Pretty florals, chocolate and tar. Shines on the palate, plenty of bright fruit, clean acid and drive but still plenty of structure to keep it focused. Excellent tonight.

I am partial to Italian wines, especially when you are having Italian food. The acidity of these wines, in a good sense, cuts through all that fat in the salami, prosciutto, cheeses and sauces. Love it. Red fruit dominated, medium tannic structure, fresh acidity that starts to help the saliva flowing... great with pasta (red sauce), pizzas or just with cold cuts and cheeses.

Young but still ready to drink and a pleasure with white truffles. Can decant but straight from the bottle was still good to drink. Restrained acidity, medium body and a decent 10-15 second finish that is not too drying.

Beautiful aromatic wine, structured with fine black fruits meshed with ripe tannins and absolute restrained acidity. Young but decant for an hour or more it will drink nicely or keep for another 5-8 years for the fruits and tannins to integrate.

Organic. Made with fruit sourced from the Roncaglie Cru. Fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, macerated for 60 days with the skins. Aged for approximately 20 months in old Slavonian oak bottis. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 14% alcohol. Youthful, rather dark yet still fully transparent pomegranate red color. Looks identical to Roncagliette 2018 that was tasted alongside. However, compared to the 2018 vintage, the nose here is more restrained and less sweet with aromas of licorice root, gravelly earth, some powdered …

Amazing effort considering the difficult vintage. Definitely for consumption on the earlier side. But it has great balance and purity of fruit.

100% Nebbiolo. 14% alcohol. Wine made with grapes from the Rocagliette vineyard, located directly in front of Bondonio's "La Berchialla" winery in Tre stelle Barbaresco. Most of the vines are planted in 1958. Soil calcareous clay and blue marl. Fermentation starts with a pied de cuve on cement tanks. (Get the grapes "thieves" fermentation. The yeast from these grapes is used with the rest). 60 days maceration. Cappello sommero (Skin soaked in grape juice during the fermentation) 20 months on …
