Kerpen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese

Golden coloured. Allready showing aromas of a aged riesling, but missing some primary fruit and acidity and therefore lacking a bit of overall harmony. Maybe only in a difficult stage. 5/11/16/8+. -2025? I have to admit that i'm quite uncertain about the future of this one. 90?

Excellent Riesling! Was quite surprised by its youthfulness. Notes of citrus fruits and petroleum jelly (not too much). Balance between sweetness and acidity is excellent. Perfect way to start an evening with friends :) Could be cellared for at least 10 more years.

This lovely Spätlese is showing first maturity. Good intensity of fruit flavour and a wonderfull creamy texture. All Spätlese wines from this producer benefit from cellaring and often they peak at age 10+, whatever German taster say. In their youth they often have a pronounced sweetness which is in harmony after years.

Light color. Clean, refreshing, fruity and mineral all together. Excellent food wine! Robe claire. Clair, rafraîchissant, fruité et minéral tout à la fois. Excellent pour accompagner la table!

The scent is wonderfully rich with both fruit and ripening. The taste is a bit too sweet even if the acid kicks in at the end. There is a nice balance and I believe this only will get better. The aftertaste is lång with lychee in the end. My only regreet is that I took it too early and this was the only bottle.

Graacher Tor: Very min., earthy char, low swtness (ordered Aus. but brought trocken) lite peach, a bit weak after pork! seems a bit thin, hollow for Aus. But GRT w/conc. lamb w/sauce! Perfect spicy quality matched w/meat! W/ pork-87; w/ lamb-90! Very interesting!
