Cascina Adelaide Barolo Preda

Shows it’s age with a little leather, earth, and prune to go with the typical red fruit , rose petal and tar notes. Tannins are integrated and non-obtrusive and there is a nice acidic lift for balance. I would drink up over the next year or two. This wine was a pleasant surprise!

Tasted at Schneiders tasting on 9/21/2011 Just entering the drinking window. Quite nice spicy pruney earthy nose, tasting was nice, Earthy and a little sous bois, a little light on body and fruit, nice finish, but a rather light Barolo.
