Pale tawny. Well weighted. Still retains a dark chocolate and coffee accented nose and palate despite being past peak. Surprisingly not as dead as I expected. Would have been great if tasted some years earlier. Marked down because past prime

Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Not decanted. Consumed over 5 hours. Dark ruby colour with black tinges. Big nose of dark chocolate, black licorice, and tulips. Full-bodied, with good acidity and structure. The palate shows notes of dark chocolate, plums, and black licorice initially, developing coffee, spice, and kirsch with time. Moderate finish, ~30-35s, with dark fruit and more chocolate. Could be consumed now with a slab of rare meat, but will reward a few years in the cellar. I liked this …

Montreal Offline w/ basecadet & MWC (Apollo Restaurant, Montreal, Canada) : Served blind, not decanted. Medium-dark ruby colour. Aromas of candied fruits and cherry. Medium-bodied, with bing cherry, earth, and plum. Short finish, ~15s, with cherry notes. Other people enjoyed this wine significantly more than I did, and it ended up as the #3 WOTN. I thought it was nice, but nothing special, and was a mid-level Chianti or Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

undeniably a great easy drinking red. needs more cabernet and less sangiovese. Short finish but well worth it.

SMOOOOTH!!!!! What can i say. It could use some more up front attraction but the blend is superb.

Bold nose, cassis and spice. Open palate, very juicy similar flavour profile to the nose. Quite structured but in a polished way no agression. Long, open, broad finish. Good+.
