Wine was a little dumb at the beginning, not offering much on the nose. Slowly developed with time and decanting. On the nose leather, dried cherry and cedar. On the palate plums, chocolate, tar and herbs. Fine but not long finish. The wine seems to be past its peak, though still joyful and entertaining. Structure and depth are there, nose is not inspiring. Lacking finesse at this stage.

This is more advanced than I would have expected. A bit oxidative, but still lovely fruit, good complexity and a silky mouth feel. Storage was pristine, so I suggest drinking these up sooner rather than later

This was excellent, one need to open and/or decant several hours before drinking to get this wine. I personally opened the bottle 4+ hours before drinking it and it make a substantial difference.

Others liked this more than I, but it missed my expectations fairly widely. Heavy oak, integrated but pretty obtrusive, and I couldn't detect any Cab. Franc notes. An indulgent wine, with loads of mocha, sweet red fruit and some spice.

Ruby with garnet highlights. Displays a compelling mix of dried red fruit joined by equally charming aromas showing its evolution like autumn leaves, tobacco and allusions of wet earth. Such an amazing texture flowing gently across the palate. Persisting and so seamless.

Teuta di Trinoro Vertical (Grande Bretagne Hotel, Athens, Greece) : Very dark garnet. Less expressive nose compared to the 2007 and same impression on the palate, where the fruit is leaner and tannins dryer. Med+ acidity and good length.

Intriguing nose, red and black fruit, ripe, creme de cassis, liquorice, mint, forest notes. On the palate grippy and quite tight, good acidity, pure fruit, really firm but round tannins, a little drying. Very long and impressive finish, mineral. Excellent but too young now. 94-95+

2011 Special Session 3 - Mid week lunch : Alcohol :: 14.5% Decanted for 3hrs. Vibrant ruby red. Very sweet on the nose, almost syrupy like but amazingly, this has good freshness in it that avoiding it from heavy and dull. Butterscotch, loaded with tons of sweet fruits: plum, blackcurrant, raisin and strawberry that complex with mint and touch of leather. Sweet, concentrated, fleshy, opulent that loaded with sweet raisin, plum and blackcurrant all backing up firmly by the lively …
