Gianni Gagliardo, Barolo

Drinking really well, this was fantastic! 20 years in and still so fresh and vibrant.

Wonderful 19 year old Barolo. Ageing has developed this bomb into a smooth delicious wine. Nose is light with just a touch of oak. Mouth feel is like velvet. Complex flavors including chocolate and blackberries. Moderately long finish without any bite. Great wine for any occasion or meal.

Wonderful, beautifully aged Barolo. The fruit still pops after 17 years. Tannins smooth and delicious. Beautiful ripe nose. Finish accents the fruit and any food you pair with it.

BRIARY FRUIT WITH BLACKBERRIES, LICORICE, AND EARTHINESS IN THE NOSE. BLACKBERRIES, BLACK CHERRIES AND SPICE IN THE FLAVOR. MEDIUM LENGTH FINISH. MUCH BETTER THAN 11/11 TASTING.

Purple/garnet. Expressive nose of raspberry, earth. Red fruit, tannins on the palate. Tannins emerged with air, but overall a simple wine, with something missing in the midpalate. Lacking structure.

What a surprise - this was drinking very well! Still almost no evolution on the nose - typical nebbiolo with only the slightest hint of its elevage in smaller barrels.Highly aromatic on the nose and with a fresh acidity and well-integrated tannins,itis a medium bodied Barolo with quite an impressive length for its pedigree. Nice floral aroma. On the palate it’s showing fresh fruit, cherry, red currant-strawberry and a touch of spice. Good wine but not worth the price.
