As a NV, not sure when it was made, though I purchased it in 2016. This is a pretty good wine and the cellar time may have helped. Had I tasted it blind, I would not have guessed its provenance. Has more depth and structure than I expected. Still going strong on day two and actually improved. Fruit forward, peppery, some vegetal flavors and a little bitter on the finish, but would happily get it again. Stacks up well in …

This is a perfectly good example of modern styled new world red wine, and in that style it might be good. But to me it is decidedly overripe, in the sugar sense, if not in terms of the phenols in stems, etc. The nose is clean and pure but raisiny and with way too sweet waves of liquor-like dark fruit. The palate is the same, and also feels too woody. With meat off the grill,or some other pungent heavy fare, …

good wine - there is fruit but it is not overblown or extracted, the wine is balanced, and there is even some complexity. well done and should be a lesson for the rest of Strong Island to follow in terms of working with what is given, as opposed to trying to craft something bigger and better out of what is given.

Reminds me of both right bank bordeaux and bourgogne passetoutgrains at the same time. Forest floor, mushroom, and supple raspberry&blueberry;. Initially a little spicy and dusty, then shifts toward more mellowed dry fruits. Highly scented and accessible from the beginning. Light and very drinkable. Superb qpr. Will buy again. 88-89pts.

- Garnet color - Good table wine. Good with a variety of food. Can get similar French wines for less, even in NY. Overall very drinkable though.

The nose showed rich red fruits, hints of herbs and cedar. It was vibrant on the palate with brisk acidity, showing sour cherry and sweet spices. The finish was medium long with sour berries.

Strong barnyard aroma with plum in the background. Palate has a muted cherry Regal Crown flavor with a little mushroom. Straightforward, good value ($12.49), drink now.

A fruity mouthful. Lively, uncomplicated but not light. We enjoyed it at the winery.

As told by the winemaker, this is a "light, bistro-style red" meant to go well will many meals. The light ruby color is misleading as many aromas escape the glass. I was immediately presented with a leather aroma along with other barnyard smells and brambly fruit, vanilla and granite. In the mouth, the wine is a bit chewy, lightly tannis, gamey with reduced fruit flavors from the nose. A little more fruit on the palate would have made this wine …
