This wine was the first to really engage me with the potential of subtle expressions of Rocks District wines and is still the best I've tasted. Pasxa continues to produce excellent wines across their portfolio but the 2018 Grenache still stands above the rest. Silky smooth tannins that lend a surprising heft to this medium bodied varietal. I'm not going on a limb with my claim that this is unlike any other Grenache you have ever tasted. This stands shoulder …

Loved it. Moderate heat, tasty fruit. Had with chicken stew of all things

Very little funk for Rocks fruit. Gorgeous silky texture, Chinese five spice, black tea with a subtle pepper finish. Might be on the decline, not a lot of grip here. Open if you’ve got ‘em.

96+ this Grenache really had some cool climate Syrah fruit flavors. Beautiful wine that really peak after being opened for about an hour.

P&P. This was fairly consistent with my prior note. Flavors of sweet red berries, pepper, tobacco, and earth, finishing with vanilla and raspberries. Paired quite well with grilled salmon. Drink now - 2028.

Ripe cherry, raspberry, strawberry, white pepper and fresh green parsley. Finishes with a blast of lemon juice and orange peel. Medium + body with medium tannin and medium acid. Recommend aging this 2-4 more years.

Decanted 4 hours. Not really getting any Rocks Funk on this wine, despite it's source...maybe just a hint on the nose, at first sniff. Strawberry and raspberry fruit, a bit of white pepper, and a touch of umami on the palate. Lengthy finish of vanilla and raspberry compote. Pretty tasty stuff! Drink now with air - 2028.

Double decant.. Strawberry and raspberry. No noticable rocks funk just seductively fruit forward with a silky smooth texture. Herbaceous notes and a little salinity. Med-full bodied. Lingering finish. It’s an amazing wine!

A bit of a mystery on this. Silky on the palate, fruit galore without being over extracted, nice acidity, I think this is perfectly fine to drink now, but will also go a good ways. What is lacking for me is much tie to the Rocks. Anticipated more savory, funky notes and they were lacking. It's a nice wine, to be sure, but I'm struggling on the QPR and lack of any sense of place. This could have been produced …

Delicious, soft strawberry/red raspberry fruit, ample acid, excellent structure, lacks depth of flavors and complexity, ample finish, wanted so much more from this wine knowing its pedigree, this seems like a early drinking wine, expected it to be age worthy

Crimson in color. 14% ABV. Gorgeous nose of red fruits, citrus, roasted herbs and flowers. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Unique and rustic with an old world feel. Wild strawberry, kirsch, orange rind and white pepper on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish with firm tannins. Lacks some of the funkiness I associate with Rocks District wines. This Grenache is all about power, structure and concentration. Serious Grenache that could use some time in the cellar. Best over the …
