A private lunch (Oxford and Cambridge Club, Pall Mall, London) : Spicy, stock, juicy fruit, good weight, intense, cool minerality, ripe acidity, lovely length. A nice surprise.

3 Glasses Gambero Rosso? For this? This was nice, but nothing spectacular. That’s the problem with Italian wines, I can never tell which are going to be worthwhile. Wouldn’t spend $22 on this again.
