Dark fruit, drinking very well. Earthy, black current, fig.

Deep purple. Blackberry, bramble, black plum, black pepper, violets, medicinal, dry gravel. Toast, cedar, vanilla, clove. Meaty, raisin, savory, balsamic and fluoride. Dry, high alcohol and tannins, medium plus acidity and body, long finish. Very good, drink now but can keep aging.

An onslaught of alcohol, for me overwhelming the pleasant black fruit underneath.

I would love this wine to come in at less than 15% alcohol, not because of the taste but only the impact it has...! It actually carries the alcohol very well and went amazingly with barbecued meats. No rush to drink

Black cherries and black currants with hints of cacao, smoke and toasted oak. Lovely balance with developing length. Has improved markedly over last year.

Big soft and maturing out of the easy drinking stage to something more interesting. Plums and black cherries with spice, licorice, black pepper and hint of cacao. Hides the alcohol well but lacks a satisfying finish.

Black cherries, plums and blueberries with a hint of minerality and oak. Soft, velvety texture. Medium acidity and not much length but has a gentle balance. Went well with wood pigeon.

This is a really relaxing and easy drinking yet, big red Malbec. Alcohol is 15% and it hides this very well. There is a slightly grainy texture to the palate amidst the dark plummy fruits and vanilla aftertaste. Lovely.

Winery founded in 1910, vines from Cahors, 108 years old. 12 months French oak. Medium nose shows dark fruit, brooding, spice, black plum, dried blackberry, dark forest. Palate is big, full bodied, nice spice profile with peppercorn, black pepper, black plum, dark earth, anise, mint, with big structure, high tannins and alcohol that are integrated. Nice finish. More to offer here than most Malbec in the price range.

Good value young Malbec from 100-year old vines, accessible now (best with food), with a potential to age another decade. I'm going to keep the other 5 bottles till it's 10 years old.

Smells both rasinated and green all at the same time. Whole year in one and two year French oak.

Excellent. Bought at winery on Mendoza. Great memory and even better when the bottle holds up to the day

Took a little time to open up. Nice fruit up front, some spice, medium finish. It's very enjoyable! Drank by itself but could easily be drank with food. Purchased at restaurant bar offering all wines half price off bottles.
