Inky purple. Notes of blackberry, bramble, and spice. Very nice, though maybe a bit hot.

With some pulled pork sliders - from memory it was cassis, rich purple fruit, pencil box.

Really glad I hung onto and somewhat forgot this bottling- it was now fully integrated and totally amazing! Dark fruit, black and crushed plum, luscious mouthfeel. Will be missed!

- Brick color - Nose dark cherry, cassis, currant. Medium to full body, medium acidity, tannins are high but moderately smooth, overall good balance. Nice long finish.

A nice GSM blend (the Chateauneuf duPape recipe) that is heavy on the Syrah. Smooth and full, quite nice but nothing remarkable, just a nice red with a frittata. Faded a bit after two hours, so drink it.

Rhone varietal blend of Syrah 46%, Grenache 33%, and Mourvedre 21%. At first, the Grenache was dominant, then it shifted to a balance between the Grenache and Syrah. Kept evolving over three days, the Mourvedre always lurking in the background. Most interesting bottle of wine.

Excellent and balanced. Depth of flavor, long finish. Tannins noted by others present, but smooth and well integrated. Drank with group of 7 other people, all thought it excellent. Good for five years or more.

Bummer wish I had more of this vintage. Can only think another 12-24 months will ratchet this up 2-3pts. I great new world Rhone.

Too young. Save this for at least 5 more years.

Currant, vanilla and licorice flavors that end up with blue berry tartness due to high tannins that should smooth out in a few years

Booker : Purple Syrah-based fruit with a clipped and simple finish. As a GSM (or actually a SGM), the depth is almost completely absent. Not a lot of energy. Round and bitter at the same time, which was odd. Youth to blame? In part, maybe. So for those who have holdings of this wine, leave it alone for a year and hope it fattens up. I have doubts. WS 95 points??? Ya...no...
