Simple, drinkable Chianti. Note - CT tags this as a Chianti Classico but that is not correct. Despite the extra Riserva aging, this one is not very complex. That said, it is fine for a low-priced Tuesday night with pasta dinner at home.

Decanted about 1/2 hour and served with arrabiata pasta. Just wanted a basic Italian red for an easy meal. It was fine, if a bit thin on the mouthfeel for the amount of tannins. Dark fruit (plum, blackberry) dominated. Not much leather or forest floor. Fairly one note. Wouldn't rush after this one again, but it's a basic chianti at a basic price.
